This is a
charming, well-kept house with a very convenient location. The owners, Pam and
Dave, are very friendly and welcoming. The house is well-equipped with all you
will need, and the beds are quite comfortable. It worked perfectly for the 2
adults, 1 child, and 2 medium-large dogs in our party. We hope to visit again
soon!
Owner response:We are always happy to hear

to have you back as guests soon!

This was our
second visit to Wilmington in 3 years. Both trips we stayed here. The house is
within a lovely stroll of downtown. We really enjoy staying here and feeling
like a local in Wilmington. Short drive to the beach. The beds are comfy and air
con is lovely. The bathrooms have been remodeled with some nice shower tile
too.
Owner response:We are always so happy to have
return guests! We know that there are so many choices when traveling and we
appreciate it most when our guests return to our home for their stay in
Wilmington. Thank you! We hope to hear from you again soon!

My husband,
toddler, and I stayed at this townhome last week to visit family. The location
was ideal as it was only a few blocks to the riverwalk and shops/restaurants.
The home was very clean and furniture very modern. The bathrooms were newly
remodeled which was very nice. It was great having a washer/dryer and laundry
soap was also provided. The special touches, such as a beach umbrella, beach
towels, and beach chairs, were a bonus. We were able to have family drop by and
it was so convenient to have an extra parking space for their visit. The owners
were very responsive with any questions. We definitely will stay here again!
Owner response:We are so glad y'all enjoyed
your stay! We are glad you were able to enjoy our extra amenities for going to
the beach. We hope to hear from you again soon!

This
townhome was perfect for our stay (two adult women). We each had our own
bedroom and bath, and it was very clean and convenient to everything we wanted
to do. There was even fresh ground coffee available in the kitchen! We were
close enough to walk downtown to the shops and restaurants there, and found I
did not have to move my car the entire time. The owner answered all my
questions promptly and I would absolutely stay here again.

Perfectly
located in magnificent Historic downtown Wilmington, this 2 bedroom 2.5 bath is
an exceptionally comfortable house for a couple (with a dog in our case). Pam
and Dave are most accommodating hosts who were very responsive to our questions
and needs. We were overwhelmed at the broad variety of places to eat, live
performance venues, shopping opportunities, golf courses, beaches to visit and
routes to walk while viewing the impeccably restored homes dating back to the
pre-mid 19th Century and early 20th Century eras. For breakfast you must try
Basics on N. Front St; Dixie Grill on Market St and the Jester Cafe, hosted by
Jamie, on Castle St between E 6th and E 7th. The first two have spectacular
biscuits and the latter two have the best grits I have ever eaten. The first
and last eatery has space for you and your dog. For lunch, start with the
Wayfarer Deli on S. Front St near Dock st. They have the most creative sandwich
menu I have ever seen and the food backs up their boast. The outside tables
allow you to bring your dog along. Sweet and Savory Bake shop and Cafe on
Pavillion Dr, just before you cross the Intercoastal waterway into Wrightsville
Beach, is excellent. The waitstaff are exceptionally personable, professional
and dog friendly. Other dog friendly and good places to have lunch are The
George on the Riverwalk, the Eat Spot on N Front St, Hell's Kitchen on Princess
st for a great burger, and of course the Front St Brewery, make sure to ask
about the featured draft of the day. For dinner, the Manna of Princess St is a
MUST. Bill, host and co-owner, and Jacob, chef co-owner, have developed a
zillion star establishment. Jacob is a culinary genius and their pasty chef
creates treats that finish an exceptional dining experience. If you are in town
on Sunday, they have a very affordable menu that the 'Locals' love. The
Fortunate Glass on S. Front St just off Market, is a great place to learn about
and joy good wines that are reasonably priced. Celeste Glass, co-owner,with her
partner Ms. Fortuna, has created an exceptional space where you can enjoy good
wine paired with food that complements the wine. For an Italian meal, lunch or
dinner, Gloria's on Wrightsville Rd and Pavillion is exceptional. If you want
to dine on the Intercoastal at Wrightsville try the Bridge Tender on Airlie Rd
and sit outside on the deck. Or you can get a Oceanfront experience at the
Oceanic on Wrightsville Beach. Will return next year!
Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed
your stay in our home! We think you may have gotten to know downtown Wilmingon
better than we do! We shall have to do some catch up! Look forward to having
y'all stay with us next year! Thank you! Dave & Pam

First time
in Wilmington, NC and am so glad I came across this VRBO listing. Usually after
a 9 hour drive I find myself just wanting to rest, but the minute I drove
through the downtown historic area, I knew I had to get out immediately and
explore. I was pleased that we were in walking distance to both the historic
homes and the Riverwalk! I must have walked an easy 10 miles in three days.
What was even better was walking back to a home that was comfortable, inviting
and clean and offered more amenties than any hotel/inn could offer you. If you
are looking for a great place to stay in Wilmington, overlook the hotels and
make your reservations here!!!

This was the
perfect place for two couples. We pulled up in our rental car and it was great
that we had our very own parking spot in the back. The home was very clean, had
a coffee maker and WiFi (both very important to me!). Both bedrooms had their
own private bathroom/shower which is a plus++. We were able to easily walk to
the Riverfront and also downtown and do some shopping, site seeing and eating.
We also could jump in the car and get to the beach within minutes or to
Walmart..whichever you prefer:) . This was the perfect place for us to stay on
vacation.

Pam &
David, we had a wonderful time staying at your lovely home. It was so nice to
see that the pictures shown here portray it so perfectly. Sometimes you might
think that the pictures shown make a place look better than it actually does.
Definitely not in this case. We were so pleased. It was so neat and clean and
very well stocked with the necessities. It was the perfect place for 2 couples.
As we all enjoying walking daily, it was in a perfect location for us. We look
forward to staying again in the future.

We had a
wonderful time staying in Pam and Dave's condo. We live in Raleigh and just
wanted a quick trip out of town so chose Wilmington. We had planned to book a
loft we had stayed in before but when I saw the pictures of this place, I just
knew we had to stay here. Our decorating tastes are very similar and this looks
very much like it could be our own place if we were fortunate enough to have one
on the coast. We are both from CA and madly in love with the ocean but we don't
like staying on the beach side of Wilmington as there is not nearly as much to
do in that area when the sun goes down. This is a great location as it's only a
10 minute drive to the beach and is right in the heart of downtown so it's very
easy to walk everywhere - shops, restaurants, historic landmarks, etc. There is
a bar on the roof so you don't even have to leave the building to have a little
fun. There was a line to get in on Saturday night when we returned from dinner
but we just told the doorman we were staying there and were immediately let in.
It's always nice to get special treatment. :) The place comes better stocked
than most - plenty of glassware, a nice coffee pot (instead of the cheap ones
usually found in rentals), cutting board, knives, plenty of towels. They even
had cleaning supplies under the sink. I hate going somewhere to stay for a
couple days and having to go to the store to buy cleaning spray or sponges or
paper towls, etc. Everything was already there. Very considerate. Our favorite
restaurant is right around the corner - Caprice Bistro. If you're looking for a
nice place to eat out, definitely check it out. If you happen to be there on a
Sunday evening, they have half priced bottles of wine. Thanks for such a
wonderful stay - we hope to be back soon!
Owner response:We are so happy to hear our
home provided y'all with everything! We try to think of a vacationers' needs
especially when it is only a few nights. Nobody wants to run to the store for
paper products or cleaning supplies! We are also glad to hear the Level 5 folks
treated you well so there wasn't any hassel getting in to the building. They
are usually super nice at the door! We hope to hear from you again! Thank you!

Walking up
the stairs to the door on the third floor, you'd never imagine what an awesome
apartment lies in wait beyond the hallway. Upon entering, you're presented with
a beautiful kitchen and living space, filled with original artwork,
retro-furniture and trinkets that give the place a home-away-from-home feel. The
loft offers the perfect sleeping space, and an additional seating area
overlooking the bridge, presenting one of the most awesome views of downtown
we've seen. As former Wilmington residents, we couldn't have been happier to
stay in such a unique downtown spot. Front Street during the summer is full of
life, so if you're looking for a good home base for exploring the city, you can
do no better. Plus, if you are interested in participating in said nightlife,
it's the perfect place to stay since you are surrounded by many bars to explore.
This is THE place to stay in Wilmington. We will be back!

If you are
looking for an affordable alternative to corporate hotel chains and still be at
the heart of historic Wilmington, this loft is your best bet! The owners have
decorated it with a medley of contemporary art, artifacts and Americana, giving
the loft a cozy yet sophisticated feel without being pretentious. The first
floor offers comfortable living space while the second floor provides spacious
sleeping quarters and a great view of the riverfront. The kitchen was nicely
stocked with cookware and utensils to make meals at home, cutting costs on
dining out. In fact, we brought a cooler of food and made most of our meals at
home after beach trips or walks around town! Located on Front street, you have
access to restaurants, shops, trolley and carriage tours, and museums in every
direction; there is little need for a car. The Front Street Brewery is right
next door, along with a wide range of outstanding local restaurants, cafes, and
ice cream shops. In addition, a parking deck is conveniently located across the
street. We spent most of our time in-town, and only took the car out to go to
Wrightsville Beach (about a 20 minute drive). Parking, as of July 2012, is $8.00
per day, which is comparable to most urban parking rates in North Carolina. If
you bring dogs, you will find grassy areas within two blocks, located along the
river or in front of the Post Office (to the left when you leave the building),
with trash cans conveniently located for disposing waste. Pets will enjoy quiet
strolls on the riverwalk in the morning, accessible just behind the building on
Water street. In addition to outstanding facilities and location, the owners are
top-rate. They answer inquiries promptly and encourage you to contact them with
any questions or issues with the property. They are also prompt with cashing
checks and returning deposits. Be kind to them, and they will return you with
kindness! One small caveat for potential renters: this loft *really* is located
in the heart of Wilmington nightlife. In addition to street activity at night,
there is a rooftop nightclub in this building. The walls and ceiling are thick,
but you will still hear music and dancing above you from the bedroom on weekends
and holidays. Light sleepers and early birds should keep that in mind... or,
since you're on vacation, maybe go join the fun instead! The bed, I assure you,
will still be there in the morning.

We were in
town for a wedding on memorial day weekend and wanted to be able to stay close
to the reception and be within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife.
The condo was fantastic. Other cousins that were staying at the main house (full
of kids) were super jealous. We loved being the hub before going out at night
and bring able to walk to breakfast in the morning. The after party for the
wedding was actually on the 5th floor of the building so that was Extra nice.
Pam was super accommodating and stayed in contact throughout the booking
process.

My boyfriend
and I were in town with another couple for a wedding. This place is in a great
location where we could walk to everything and is beautifully kept on the
inside. It was the perfect alternative to staying in the hotel where most of the
other wedding guests stayed - less expensive, more space, and closer to the bars
and restaurants. Thank you!

We have
rented several places in the downtown area in the past few months, all of them
have been lovely....but this is the place to be. The space is unbelievable,
everything you need is here. We cooked our own meal on St. Paddy's, and watched
a movie on the DVD to relax. Oh yeah we went out alot too! Directly in the heart
of the district its easy to walk anywhere you need to go. Great food(Caprice,
Deluxe, Nick's Diner, Chop's), Great Bars(Cape Fear Beer and Wine, Slainte,
Lula's) all steps away. Dave and Pam have a awesome place that they share with
everyone, it is hands down the best place we have had, I can't wait to spend
more time there!

absolutely fell in love. Dave and Pam were so willing to work with us on making
sure everything would be perfect for our stay, and it was. I cannot begin to
express how beautiful, open and homey this loft is - there was plenty of room
for the four of us to move around and we had a blast making dinner and dancing
around! It's an unbelievable spot to just relax and unwind after a night on the
town. My next trip to Wilmington I definitely don't plan on staying anywhere but
this loft; it's became our home away from home in Wilmington!

We spend NYE
every year with old friends, and this year the four of us spent it in Wilmington
at your loft. We loved it! We were charmed by the unique decor and noted
several times over the course of the weekend how "at home" we felt there. It
was also nice to be only a matter of steps away from everything downtown - the
boys especially enjoyed grabbing a slice of pizza just across the street. I
must also note that we took advantage of the game shelf. The girls beat the
boys at Trivial Pursuit by a number of pie pieces! Thanks for allowing us to
stay in your lovely home - we will certainly keep it in mind for future
Wilmington visits.
